QPO Presents: Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 in Doha is a classical concert featuring the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, conductor Enrique Diemecke and pianist Jae Hong Park. It takes place at Qatar National Convention Centre, Auditorium 3, on 14 September 2026.
Concert programme
The performance begins with Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1, with Jae Hong Park appearing as the piano soloist. Park was the winner of the 2021 Busoni International Piano Competition.
Following the interval, Enrique Diemecke conducts Tchaikovsky's Manfred Symphony. Inspired by Byron's story of a wanderer troubled by his past, the symphony brings a darker and more dramatic second half to the programme.
