Around the World in Jewellery Exhibition is an arts and culture exhibition at M7 in Msheireb Downtown Doha. Presented by Qatar Museums in collaboration with L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, it brings together more than 500 jewellery pieces and art objects from different cultures, geographical regions and historical periods.
The exhibition includes jewellery, artworks, photographs and sculptures drawn from the National Collection of Qatar, the National Museum of Qatar, the Museum of Islamic Art and the future Lusail Museum. Some pieces are being shown publicly for the first time. The display is also complemented by selected creations from the Van Cleef & Arpels patrimonial collection.
Seven exhibition themes
The collection is organised around seven themes that explore the materials, meanings and social roles associated with adornment:
- Sea and Ocean
- Nature
- Cosmos
- Body Adornment
- Status
- Customs and Ceremonies
- Protection
Together, these sections examine subjects including pearls, shells and coral; animals, plants and minerals; celestial influences; cultural identity; prestige; major life events; and hopes connected with protection and well-being.
Planning your visit
The exhibition runs from 27 October to 26 December 2026 at M7, Msheireb Downtown Doha, Abdulla Bin Thani Street. Admission is listed from QAR 0.
Families can also visit the Children’s Piazza, an interactive exhibition area created for children aged four to ten. Located through the centre of the main exhibition, it follows the same core themes through playful learning and discovery activities.
